When My Baby Is Buggy was born...

Years ago, when I was perhaps eleven or twelve, my daddy drew me a little cartoon of a ladybug pushing a baby carriage, and the caption read: "My Baby is Buggy." I loved that sweet little scrap of paper and saved it for years, but alas, somewhere along the way that tiny piece of history disappeared. I imagine that my dad's 'Mrs. Ladybug' may have been the catalyst for one of my most fulfilling occupations: Illustrator and maker of tiny things.

My Baby is Buggy is born

This wonderful forum for creative expression begins this day, and who knows where it might take me. I imagine a place where I can share illustrations and finished craft projects (I'm always trying something new... some end up actually worth sharing, and well, some are better left in the sad pile). So please join me from time to time, and give me your thoughts and comments! I believe this quote from Bertrand Russell is so true:
"There's an artist imprisoned in each one of us. Let him loose to spread joy everywhere."

  3. It looks great, definitely get some of your craft stuff up there, I love that stuff. Also, you should look into an email marketing server, I use mailchimp. It is a great way to remind people to visit your site whenever you have something new up.

  9. Thank you "Girls from VHS"! You are so sweet!!!! And Cindi, the illustration is mine, made from my memory of what Daddy had drawn. If you put on your readers, you can see "Howie" on the side of the buggy :)

I want to say that your memory of daddy's drawing is just like I remember it, as well.
Very sweet that you put "Howie" on the side of the pram.
